ATS resume checker for Indian resumes

An ATS resume checker tests whether a resume is built so applicant tracking software can read it: standard sections, consistent dates, clear bullets and the right contact details. Salryd checks against a set of 44 rules written for Indian resumes, scores the result, and lists the fixes worth most first. It does not invent achievements.

How it works

  1. 1

Sign in and add your resume

Upload a text-based PDF resume to your Salryd profile (up to 5 MB). Scanned image PDFs may not extract cleanly. The checker itself needs a Salryd account.

  2. 2

    Salryd runs its resume rules

Each of the 44 rules is a fixed, written check. They cover section order and headings, dates, bullet length and wording, numbers, skills and personal details that should not be on an Indian resume.

  3. 3

See your score and the first fixes

The score is out of 100. Failing any "must" rule caps it at 79, so a polished resume cannot hide a serious problem. The fixes worth the most points come first.

  4. 4

    Accept or change each suggestion

Rewrites are shown as before and after, and need your approval. Where a fix needs a number or a fact, Salryd asks you for it instead of guessing.

Frequently asked questions

What is an ATS resume checker?

It is a tool that tests a resume against the things applicant tracking systems and recruiters rely on: readable structure, standard section headings, consistent dates and clear bullet points. It tells you what to fix before you apply.

Does Salryd guarantee my resume will be shortlisted?

No. Shortlisting depends on the role, the employer and the other applicants. The checker finds problems in the resume itself and shows what to fix first.

What does Salryd check on an Indian resume?

Among others: no photo, no date of birth, father's name, marital status or religion, no Aadhaar, PAN or passport numbers, no declaration block, no CTC or notice period on the resume, plus section order, dates, bullet wording and numbers.

Which files can I upload?

A text-based PDF, up to 5 MB. Scanned image PDFs may not extract cleanly, so export the PDF from your word processor instead of scanning it.

Will Salryd rewrite my resume without asking?

No. Suggested rewrites are shown as a before and after and are applied only if you accept them. When a fix needs a number or a fact, Salryd asks you for it.

Do I need to sign in?

Yes, to check your own resume. The sample on this page is open to everyone. Access is currently labelled "Founding member — free during beta".
