Your salary never leaves your device

Every calculation on Salryd — the in-hand salary calculator and every tool we add in future — runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The CTC, basic salary, rent, and every other figure you enter is never transmitted to our servers, and we have no way of seeing it.

What we store locally on your device

To save you re-entering your numbers, we store your last calculator inputs in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device — clearing your browser data removes it, and it's never sent to us.

What we do collect

If you sign up for a “coming soon” tool's waitlist, we store the email address you provide so we can notify you at launch. We also collect anonymous, aggregate usage events (like which page was visited) to understand which tools to build next — these events are never linked to the salary figures you enter.

Analytics

When enabled in production, Salryd loads Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. These services use cookies or similar technologies to measure anonymous page views and session behaviour. We configure them to never receive salary figures, offer details, or other personal financial data — only coarse navigation events like “visited Offer Check”.

Analytics scripts load only when their environment variables are set. In local development they are disabled by default. You can clear analytics cookies through your browser settings at any time.

Cookies

Salryd uses cookies and similar technologies in three ways: (1) essential cookies that keep the site working, such as theme preference; (2) analytics cookies from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity when analytics is enabled; and (3) advertising cookies from Google AdSense when ads are enabled. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some site features.

Advertising and Google AdSense

Salryd may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to Salryd or other websites. These cookies help show relevant ads and measure ad performance.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to Salryd and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

Ad placements appear only on informational pages and after you receive a calculation result — never inside salary input forms. Ads are disabled until explicitly enabled in production configuration.

Third parties

We use Supabase to store waitlist emails and anonymous usage events. Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Google AdSense may process data on their servers when those services are enabled. We do not sell your data to anyone, and we do not use your email for anything beyond the purpose you signed up for.
